Develop Techniques for Quarantine Treatment of Exported Fruit

 In order to comply with the phytosanitary standard of importing countries, quarantine treatment methods aimed at the elimination of Bactrocera dorsalis Hendel and Bactrocera cucurbitae Coquillett, the most concerned quarantine pests of many importing countries, have been developing by Taichung Branch Office of BAPHIQ. The methods developed and approved by the importing countries included cold treatment, vapor heat treatment and the combination of both. The application of these methods have greatly facilitated the export of different fruits produced in Taiwan.
